21 Day Fix Meal Plan & Shopping Lists

21 day fix meal plan cover

Happy New Year, friends! I’ve been working on this project and I’m so excited to be able to share it with you. I’ll post a recipe soon, but today I have a meal plan for ya…a 21 Day Fix Meal Plan!

When you’re making changes to your eating habits and adopting a healthy lifestyle, planning is such a huge (and time consuming) component. There have been many (many, many) times where I inwardly resolve to “eat better tomorrow” without actually making a plan…and then “tomorrow” offers pitfalls like, for example, being starving after church in the presence of the little donut holes for the kids (they’re for the kids! I know they’re for the kids! gosh!), or arriving home from the grocery store with healthy foods but no specific plan on what to actually eat for dinner. Same goes for working out – I’m much more likely to squeeze in a workout if I have it on my calendar and I know exactly what I’m going to do. (In my pre-kid life I used to wonder why people didn’t work out regularly. Uh, the joke’s on me these days! Did I mention I worked at a gym? Hahaha..ha.)

So when my dear friend and college roommate Dara asked me to make a meal plan for her clients to go with the 21 Day Fix (which is an exercise and healthy eating program, and one of the plans she uses as a health and fitness coach) I was instantly excited! I love having a plan, and plans that involve food are my favorite. I’m not a nutritionist, but I am a personal trainer – currently working outside my field as a mom and food blogger ;o) – and my college degree is in exercise physiology. It was fun to check out the 21 Day Fix and I really like the concept of using the color-coded containers to guide your food choices and portions (vs. counting calories or eliminating food groups). If you’re interested in the program, Dara would be happy to help you!

This meal plan has everything you need for 21 days of healthy, satisfying meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. It also includes shopping lists so you can make sure you have all the ingredients you need, and the recipes are included (some are links to recipes on my blog or others, and a few are unique recipes that are only available in the download). Here’s a little sample of the first day of the plan:

What gets me most excited about this 21 Day Fix meal plan is that it is totally flexible! I wrote it so that most nights you make dinner and eat the leftovers for lunch the next day, but the beauty of the container system is that it’s easy to switch things around. You could follow the plan verbatim or use it as a jumping off point – whatever suits your needs!

About Me

Hey, I’m Bet! I love food and welcoming family and friends to the table with it. This is where I share what we’re eating – mostly “real”, family-friendly, doable dinners, plus breakfast foods, snacks, and of course, my favorite homemade sweet treats. I love to meal plan, hoard freezer meals, and include my girls in the cooking process as much as I can (while still preserving a little sanity). Thanks for visiting – I hope you find some new favorite recipes here!
